GREAT EVENTS FOR 2012 PLANNED
We have applied for grants from the BC Arts Council and the City of Richmond. We are keeping our fingers crossed that they will agree with our requests for funding so that we can produce a number of exciting and interesting exhibitions and events.
Even without funding from these two sources we are going ahead with producing the First Annual Sculpture Challenge. We want this event to be an annual one so that each year different youth and children have the opportunity to try their "artistic wings".
The exhibition will be held during spring break March 13 - 23 in the atrium at Richmond City Hall and we are so pleased that the city has allowed us the space in this prestigious location for the exhibition. It is open to Richmond residents ages 10 through 15, the entry form is available for downloading under the article which describes it.PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT YOU READ ALL THE REQUIREMENTS AND RULES BEFORE YOU SEND YOUR ENTRY FORM IN AND INCLUDE ALL MATERIALS ASKED FOR.
As our plans evolve and spaces and such are confirmed, we will be giving you more information of our other events so stay "tuned" as they say. In the "works" are a pottery exhibition - All Fired Up, a replacement for our hugely popular Indian Summer Art Show, now titled A Midsummer Art's Dream, a fabulous art glass show, and several other events and exhibitions. So with financial support from the the public, City of Richmond, BC Arts Council and other great corporate donors, this should be the best year yet for the public to be able to view a variety of disciplines at various locations in Richmond.
Keep checking back and as we receive news, we will share it with you, because we do what we do for YOU!
