The 1st Annual Sculpture Challenge Exhibition took place March 13 - 23 in the atrium at the City of Richmond city Hall open Monday to Friday from 9 - 5. The exhibition can also be viewed from outside the building during the weekends.
This event, held for Richmond youth ages 10 - 15, asked them to create from re-cycled, re-purposed or re-used materials a contemporary sculpture and explain the materials used and their thinking behind the choice of their subject matter.
As each of us try to get to zero waste, it is important to see what the youth is doing towards this end. The winners in the two categories (Junior and Senior) were decided and appropriate signage displayed showing the winners.
We want to thank each of the participants and Richmond City Hall for donating the space for us to hold this exhibition.
There was no cost to view this exhibition.
