In 1982 Peter began to devote his full time to pottery. He has focused on the creation of limited editions of stoneware, porcelain, raku and primitive pottery. His creative energy has been directed towards the transmutation of classical and traditional shapes and glazes into forms which echo the spiritual essence of the B.C. landscape. His glazes range from vibrant intense reds, blues, purples, browns and blacks characteristic of traditional Chinese and Japanese stoneware and porcelain to the light soft raku silver, yellows, whites and gold. Each piece is unique and offers a range of esthetic response, interpretation and enjoyment. His pottery was selected by the Canadian Embassy in Ottawa for its permanent collection and is used as an example of Fine Pottery in their exhibitions. Peter's work is in numerous collections in Canada, the U.S. and Hawaii.
