Lundy was born, raised and lived most of her life in Vancouver. Both her parents were artists so it seemed only natural that she would follow in their footsteps. During her art career, she dabbled in all the mediums: sculpture, ceramics, printmaking, painting and finally textiles. She loved working with textiles, but could never achieve the results she was seeking. Her true inspiration came to fruition with her visits to Mexico and in northern Italy. That is when she realized that tile and mosaics were to be her medium of choice. The colour and flavour of these countries can be seen in many of her pieces.
