The Community Arts Council of Richmond prides itself on preserving and promoting the arts in our community. In pursuit of our mission to support the arts and artists in our community, we provide our members and the community with the following services:
- Promote artists through our Artisans' Galleria gift shop, including sale of juried work, special events and changing exhibitions.
- Provide financial assistance through our grant program. (when funds available)
- Provide publicity and promotional assistance to artists members.
- Work with other non-profit community groups, sharing information about upcoming events both locally and throughout the Province.
- Promote art as a way to bridge cultures and build a harmonious community.
- Participate in many local community events held in the village as a way to encourage the public to come forth and appreciate their local artists’ work.
- The community has the benefit of viewing work in the Galleria at no cost.
- Present our exhibitions and shows at no cost to the viewing public.
- Encourage and support both emerging and disabled artists.
- When possible, assist our artists members in exposure and sale of their work, such as the Steveston Farmer’s and Artisans’ Market.
As well, our new updated website can
- Feature different artists each month and provide a link to their own website.
- Offer information to the public on behalf of our members events through our growing newsletter .
- Will keep members informed via email of events happening throughout the Province.
- Keep members informed via email of events happening throughout the Province from other non-profit art groups.
- Offer, to interested members and friends of the CACR, resources for promotion of their own events and assistance where possible.
- Upon the request to be added to our growing E list, the public will received advance notice of upcoming art events.
- Update the membership list with images of their new work.
- As our links with other community groups grows, more opportunities will be made available to our members
