THE VALUE OF VOLUNTEERING

With increased government cutbacks in the social service sector, organizations have realized the true value of volunteerism. It plays a vital role in sustaining community-oriented services.

  • The Community Arts Council of Richmond is very grateful to have the support of volunteers who have been an integral part of our organization. Over the last 30 years volunteers have contributed their time and energy towards programs that support the arts in Richmond.
  • We are in need of volunteers interested in gaining administrative and other experience, assisting where needed including help with planning an event. Time can range from a couple of hours to a day.
  • The Community Arts Council of Richmond currently has over 50 volunteers and artists who assist in the running of the Artisans' Galleria Gift Shop and promoting various exhibits and WE NEED MORE! If we are to be able to continue to increase awareness of the arts and the benefits the arts brings, we need help to do it. We are a non-profit organization and we depend on our volunteers to help make our exhibitions and events a success.
  • Whether you want to help in a small way or join the board of directors, we cannot do it without you.
  • We welcome your interest and hope that you will find your association with the CACR a rewarding one.
