We invite you to join the Richmond Community Arts Council where art lives in the historic fishing village of Steveston, the southwest most corner of Richmond at our venue the Artisans' Galleria. Your membership fees and donations help support the arts in our Community.

Here are some the benefits of becoming a member of The Community Arts Council of Richmond (CACR) a not for profit organization.

SUPPORT CATEGORY:
This includes artists and non-artists who will not be exhibiting or selling at the Galleria, but who wish to support the CACR and our endeavours and mandate. The cost is just $25.00 per year for individuals and $100.00 for Corporations.

You will also:
Help us to provide art exhibits for the enjoyment and benefit of the community. Give exposure to local artists of all levels including emerging and mature. Support the Artisans' Galleria, our venue dedicated to showcase our local artists. Be kept informed of upcoming exhibitions and events through our E-mail newsletter. Receive a 10% discount off purchases at the Artisans' Galleria by showing your membership card at time of purchase.

EXHIBITING ARTIST CATEGORY:
This is for artists who join with the intention of exhibiting currently or in the future at the Artisans' Galleria.The fee is $50.00 per year. However, this amount may be reduced to $25.00 by the end of the membership year provided that the member is able to fulfill the following: The member must volunteer for not less than 5 hours during the membership year at a single or variety of one or more exhibitions, events, fundraiser etc. This volunteer time is in addition to any time that the member may spend in the Galleria to enable them to receive a higher return rate on the commission taken on sales. The $25.00 will either be refunded at the end of the membership year should the member fulfill this condition, at the end of six months if this condition is fulfilled by the end of February, or it may be applied to the following years membership fee.

Artists and Groups will receive the same benefits listed above plus:

• Be informed of up coming shows, events, call for artists and educational classes.
• Members are encouraged to submit notice of your events, exhibitions, shows, etc.
  These will be published in our newsletter as well as listed in on your listing within Member Directory.
• Link your website to ours to provide enhanced promotion of you and your art.
  Link to your listing in our Member Directory, or directly to our site.
• Members may sign up here and after being approved, you may update your contact info, as well as post annoucements of events you may be attending. These will appear next to your listing in our Member Directory
• Have an opportunity to be featured on our website for one month during the year.

• An opportunity to network with other artists.

We act as liaisons between the artists and the community.
As an artist we provide a venue at the Artisans' Galleria to exhibit and sell your work through a juried process, however, membership does not guarantee acceptance.
