Children of all ages are invited to participate in this annual event held in the historic fishing village of Steveston. The Artisans’ Galleria, and other participating merchants, will welcome kids on Saturday, April 3rd 2010, between 1:00pm and 3:00pm in the afternoon.

It’s a great opportunity for the kids to get a head start on Easter goodies, while parents can visit the wide variety of shops, cafés and enjoy some history as well. We hope that when you bring your youngsters to us for their treats, you will take a moment to browse through our wonderful selection of unique, hand crafted, one of a kind work and even make a purchase to support our local artists.

This FREE event has become very popular (for obvious reasons) and is just one more way that the other merchants and ourselves, go all out to make Steveston Village a friendly and inviting destination. We will partner with the Arts Connection’s Renaissance Academy kindergarten and Paddington Station pre-kindergarten in producing a short exhibition called “KIDS HELPING KIDS”
The children attending these classes wanted to do something to help the children in Haiti suffering following the earthquake disaster. They have created works of art that will be sold and all proceeds will be sent to the relief effort for Haitian children.
The work will be on display at the Artisans’ Galleria in historic Steveston Village beginning March 1st and will be available for purchase on March 7th at a reception between 12:30 – 4:00.
This is a wonderful way for these little ones to express their empathy and concern for others in the world. Please show your interest, support and appreciation by taking the time to view these unique works of art and their very first official gallery show and sale.

Olympic Torch Relay Special Event Project, Special Exhibition which will run January 25 – February 24 2010, and will be open for viewing, at no charge, to the participants or the public.

This project is the result of a grant received from Heritage Canada under the Olympic Torch Relay Initiative for the 2010 Winter Games – Special Projects component and as such is subject to guidelines set out by Canadian Heritage and Vanoc.
