Meet our board of directors, read a little bio on them, and meet some of our staff members.

Her extensive volunteering experience includes 10 years with Race Event Volunteers of Vancouver, serving as VP of Membership for two years, helping to organize the volunteers at the Molson Indy Vancouver, BC Lions CAT (Customer Assistance Team), as well as Metro Theatre and the Community Theatre Coalition. She loves her full time secretarial job, enjoys teaching painting classes for children, but somehow still finds time to indulge in her passion for painting rocks, canvas and anything that doesn't move.
Margaret Stephens

Treasurer &
Primary Administrator
A resident of Steveston, Margaret has been a member of CACR for over 5 years. She divides her time between her bookkeeping/accounting business and her real love, decorative painting, graphics and crafts. Over the years she has been involved and sat on the boards of several not for profit organizations and is still active with Variety, the Children's charity. She has extensive retail and display experience, which she uses to assist the Manager of the Artisans' Galleria as well as the advertising program. Her financial and business background is an asset to her position as treasurer.
Lee Beaudry

Secretary
Although retired, Lee brings to our Board a diverse business background. In addition to being a proprietor of a music and gift outlet, her office experience included the Provincial Government, and a Financial Institution as an Executive Assistant and Computer Software Troubleshooter. Her expertise also encompassed paralegal, medical office environments and telecommunications.
Her artistic abilities include painting canvas works, and a broad spectrum of other hand crafted and painted pieces. She is also an accomplished performing musician and vocalist and retired teacher from the musical field.
Artisans Galleria
Michael Shirley

Manager
Michael has been a member of the CACR for many, many years and served as a director/member-at-large for several of those years.
Michael became the Galleria manager when the shop moved to Steveston a few years ago.
Michael brings to the Artisans' Galleria and the CACR over 33 years of retail and display experience. As well as being an artist and art teacher, he is also a gifted floral arranger.
His experience with window display was instrumental in the Galleria winning the 2007 'Best Lighted Window Display' in Steveston!
With his knowledge and experience of art, display and retail he was able to design both the Steveston locations of the Galleria, the new location being the most challenging and time consuming.
The Community Arts Council of Richmond is indeed lucky to have Michael Shirley as the manager of the
ARTISANS' GALLERIA.
